Even though it seems like heavyweight denim is pretty popular right now, never crossed my mind for me to buy one of those more than 18oz denim. Hence the beautiful fades, we live in Indonesia where the weather is.. you know, hot. It's a reason why sometimes a comfortable chino or trouser or maybe shorts is a good alternatives.
The jeans were available for Pre-order at Rogue Territory, but too bad that the pre-order has closed. This pair is Ideal for the summer heat but still wearable by day and night.
Sometimes i get bored with a pair of raw denim, and i think beside DoubleRL (RRL), LVC offers some good pre-washed denim. For instance check out this 1954 cut from Levi's Vintage. After opening several stores in Jakarta this year under Delami brands, We finally have the chance to get something more special from Lee. Yep, On June 22nd 2011, Lee with 707 Kemang held the launching event of Lee Originals. This Lee Originals collection prove that Indonesia's market is growing quite good this year.
Founded by Henry David Lee in 1889, Lee Jeans (also known as H.D. Lee) is known as one of the three pioneers in the Denim world, alongside with the Founding Father, Levi's, and also with Wrangler. Just like how Levi's is looking back to their vintage archives and then developed the Levi's Vintage Collection, and how Wrangler develops the Wrangler Blue Bells collection, Lee is also known with their beautiful "back to the roots" line, the Lee Originals.
Hosted by Ade Habibie and Max Suriaganda, 707 brings the very limited Lee 101 Vintage Collection. The 101 collection is the origin of Lee's premium denim. It is great to see the 101Z, 101B, 101 Logger, the 1930s, 1934s, etc has entered Indonesian Market, knowing how superb Lee Vintage materials quality is.
With Lee Originals now available in Jakarta, i believe it is possible that Wrangler Blue Bells and Levi's Vintage Collection will also come to Indonesia. The collection of Lee Vintage is available exclusively at 707 Jakarta and their sister store ; Standard Denim Supply Co. (The Goods Dept).
Australia's own Ksubi have recently expanded their retail experience by offering a new concept on their Paddington Store (Sydney), the KUSTOM design. Here, you can choose how your ksubi looks like.The design studio at the back of the store is a mad house of color, studs, pins, paint and ripped denim.

I've always wanted to post this cuff thing, but i guess i'm too lazy to do the photos. But, thanks to the Indonesian denim masters at Darahkubiru, Now we can see the right way of "how to cuff or roll your jeans", and also why we should do single cuff, double cuff, faux single cuff, roll cuff or even the trouser cuff. So, no more ugly cuffs!

Scott Morisson, the father of Earnest Sewn and Paper Denim & Cloth brand, has come up with his latest love child, the 3x1. Interesting thing, the 3x1 name itself derived from Denim's standard weaving construction, the 3x1 Right Hand Twill material, and it also represents Morisson's 3rd concept of denim brand after Paper Denim and Earnest Sewn which became quite famous in 2004-2006 era and known as the contender of Ksubi back then. 
“People love to learn how things are made, at least I always have, and there’s something magical about seeing the process itself. Perhaps it’s a sign of the times, but the thought that seems most relevant to me today is one of transparency, value, and uniqueness.” To facilitate his unique vision, 3x1 incorporates each of the processes of design, patternmaking and sewing quite literally into their modern gallery/retail/work space and the result is like nothing you’ve ever seen. “It’s a bit like looking into, and working in, Santa’s workshop” says Morrison.

French label, April 77 has recently teams up with cult band Herman Dune, making amazing capsule collection stuffs : Chino Pants and a T-Shirt. Both are off course in limited run.
How the idea came is so simple, when Brice Partouche of April 77 first met David, David was wearing a April 77 Chino Dad. And then, David told Brice how much he loved the style, the fabrics, and that he would love to have it in different colors. Brice quickly realized that he had many and precise ideas about what David wanted. And that is how this Herman Dune Chino idea is created.
The chino pants are amazing, comes in 2 different colors, brick red and safari khaki. All illustrations from the labels to the packaging are designed by David Ivar Herman Dune. The April77 x Herman Dune collections can be seen on the April77 Presents
