Event Report : King Pins Show, Hong Kong

On June 8th-9th 2011, Our good friends at Sober Denim Co. was invited to the King Pins Show at Hong Kong. If you're wondering what is King Pins Show, here it is :

Our show is about casual wear. We desire to attract buyers who produce or market sportswear, be it jeans or any casual apparel. Specializing makes the show not just about textiles but a global supply chain. Our first Kingpins had hardware people attend, a laundry attends and today the same exists including chemical companies and fiber companies who have new, innovative products. Kingpins will always specialize in the casual area and seek to invite global players, leaders in their fields so that anyone who produces a casual wear garment will find innovation at our show. That’s a value for our customers.

Kingpins today is a show of 12-15 suppliers, and is always presented in a comfortable setting. We treat all guests as if they were coming to our home. We absolutely believe that Kingpins must feel comfortable to exhibitors and customers. Unlike the other shows that charge for water or a sandwich we feed and serve everyone, which creates a kind peace and calmness to our exhibition. One night of each show we serve a large dinner where everyone has a chance to get together and talk over drinks (NOT CHARGED) and relax to music.

This year King Pins Show was participated by Kurabo Japan and China, Knitindigo, Cone Denim Burlington, and several Denim Producers from Thailand, India, China, Italy, Korea, and also participated by Lycra, CoolMax and Cordura. This 2 days event was for invitation only, so thank you to Sober Denim Co. for sending us the event report and showing us pictures of beautiful denim such as Kurabo denim and selvage Okayama denim.

LB011Z Jeans from Sober Denim

In this early 2011, our beloved friends at Sober Denim came up with their newest jeans, the LB011Z. As usual, Sober Denim products is always comes in great detailing and perfection. On this pair, Sober Denim uses 100% Cotton 13oz Indigo material, One wash, combined with Plaid Cotton Inner Pocket and Gold nail rivets.

Sober Denim F/W 2010 & Le Charbon Collection

Our beloved friends at Sober Denim has just released their Fall / Winter 2010 collection, including their new season of denim, called the "Le Charbon". With this Le Charbon, Sober Denim offers you the Lot LC011. LC011 is a slim cut jeans, comes with amazing details, such as 14oz Raw Black Denim, Hickory Lining on the back pocket, Striped Cotton front pocket lining, Gold Nail Rivets inside, Gun Metal Rivets outside, Buffalo Hide for leather patch, Button Fly, and LC011 is chain stitched constructed.

Alongside their LC011 Jeans, Sober Denim is about to release their first apparel product, the Chambray Workshirt. Lets just wait for those chambray, it must be amazing!

Better be prepared cause in the end of this month, Rubrikgroup will be presenting the Part II of "the Denim Market". After a quite success at the First part (held at Ke'ku:n Kemang), the Denim Market part II will be moving to Grand Indonesia Shopping Town, with more tenants, more musics, more surprises.

Check out this new Jakarta-based Denim Brand called Sober Denim Co.. Sober Denim co. has just released their first product, Le Jaune or also known as Lot LJ001.




For the Le Jaune 001 (Slim Cut with low yoke), they are using 14.5oz raw vintage indigo denim, genuine cowhide leather patch, strong construction with chainstitch, button fly, reinforced back pocket and coin pocket, and with gold plated rivets. Size available from size 30 to 36. And yep, its ready stock and ready to be ordered.

"Sober Denim brings you the essential of denim, durable yet comfortable, constructed with chain-stitches over 100% cotton denim. Sizing available from 30-36 ONLY, using international sizing chart."

Right now, they are working on their next project, Le Charbon, which is using 14oz Dry Black material with concealed rivets.
Other than LeCharbon series, Sober Denim is also researching and developing their upcoming products, using Selvedge material which they bring to Rubrikgroup's "the Denim Market" last week.
