The Denim Market - Double Standard (Event Report)

On the end of May, Rubrikgroup with XL Jagoan Muda held the third edition of The Denim Market, themed "Double Standard". In conjunction with Grand Indonesia Shopping Town's 2nd Anniversary, The Denim Market is getting bigger and bigger. This 4-days bazaar event is filled with around 20 tenants from Indonesia's own Local Denim Brands and Apparel.

This event also have the uprising brands like Archa Denim, Aye Denim, Dbute Co., Mommo Jeans, Alleycat Jeans, Chevalier, Havehad Footwear, Casa Frontale, Dreambirds, The Shadow Puppet, Txture Footwear, etc.

On Saturday, May 28th, Maliq & d'Essentials, Soulvibe, Twentyfirst Night and the mighty Sir Dandy performed their songs and successfully made the crowds go wild. This event is also the official party of Sir Dandy's First album, "Lesson #1". Rubrikgroup said that the next Denim Market will even get bigger and more prepared than this one. Catatan Harian Si Boy - Movie Trailer

After watching this movie trailer, i must say, this movie is one to watch in this 2011! Yep, "Catatan Harian Si Boy" is the brand new version of "Boy" from the 80s era. The Director, Putrama Tuta said that this movie is NOT a remake of the legendary earlier "Catatan Si Boy" Movie, but this is the brand new Boy. "This is about Boy of this generation", Tuta said. He also added, this movie is not about Boy, This movie will tell a story about Boy finding a young man, Satrio (play by Ario Bayu) to continue his legacy.

With loads of Indonesia's promising actors and actresses such as Ario Bayu, Carissa Puteri, Poppy Sovia, Albert Halim, etc. and also with the original "Catatan Si Boy" cast such as Didi Petet and Onky Alexander, this movie is a must watch. Lets hope that this movie is a good comeback for Indonesian Movie, like what "Ada Apa Dengan Cinta" did years ago. Ooh, another interesting thing about "Catatan Harian Si Boy" is that the Genius Aghi Narotama and Bemby Gusti and also Adiran Martadinata is doing the main music scores.

British Remains : Creeper Style Footwear

Previously known for their great Graphic Tees, British Remains are now expanding their product range to Footwear. British Remains previous collection, has been receiving good praises from a lot of people. They said that British Remains has a "Real creative spirit", which is hard to find these days.

Recently, Andrew Bunney from British Remains posted the preview of his new upcoming product, the Creeper Style Shoes.

"This sample is the first Creeper style from British Remains for AW11. It's our first time to make shoes, and we're updating the Creeper. This sole is the same height as vintage styles - a little less cartoonish than many today - and the upper is very wearable."

Incubus - Adolescents (Single)

"Adolescents", the first single from the upcoming Incubus album, "IF NOT NOW, WHEN?". Single artwork photo by Bernice Abbott. Scheduled to be released on this April 2011. Btw rumour said that Incubus is coming to Jakarta on this June / July 2011.

Fred Perry X Stussy Deluxe | Blank Canvas 2011 Collection

Fred Perry once again teamed up with Stussy Deluxe. After previously collaborating on the 2009/2010 Blank Canvas Collection, now they join together again and this time they are widening their collection into stuffs like bags, sneakers, pants, etc.
