Clarks Trigenic Dune VS Mizuno Infinity Ring Moc

Sneaker Freaker recently posted their interview with Prad Indrakumar, one of the men behind Clarks' Sportswear line. On the interview, They talked about the upcoming shoe models, and one of them is this interesting piece of footwear, dubbed the Trigenic Dune (the other one is Trigenic Flex). Looking at it reminds me how Mountain Research & Mizuno came up with some next level casual sporstwear hybrid couple of months ago, under the name of the 007 Infinity Moc.

"The Desert Boot and Wallabee are signature styles, but there are many others in the Clarks Originals collection worth digging into, such as the Desert Trek and the Weaver. When we started working on the Trigenic project, I wasn't expecting to design a product that could reinvent the brand or become a future classic, however, in light of the positive reaction, it's now starting to dawn on me that this could pave a new way in which we reinterpret concepts from our past at a deeper level"

"I reckon we'll be printing our own shoes, just like burning a CD of music was fifteen years ago. Brands could provide downloadable outsole designs, the consumer then aligns the newly downloaded outsole data to their custom foot dimensions and then simply prints out the unit on a sheet of genetically modified leather."

While you should also check out these nice pair from Mountain Research & Mizuno as well.

Aesthetic-wise, Both shoe got my eyes on, but haven't been able to try Mizuno shoes, and I know how comfy Clarks Sportswear shoes are. If you had to choose, which one will you cop? Me myself, imma cop me some Infinity Ring Moc from Mizuno.

Needles - Unlined Cordovan Shoes

Needles has put their feet on the footwear game with their latest shoes, the Unlined Cordovan Shoe Collection. You read it, then you should know that these shoes are made using the finest leather. And since this is Needles, they won't use any material that is below their high standards. For their shoes, they are using the super fine shell cordovan leather from famous Horween 1905. The collection brigns out 4 models, and one of the shoes that really caught my eyes on is the Straight Tip. Beautiful.

Red Wing Postman 101 vs Tricker's x Norse Projects

Some said that Norse Projects' recent collaboration with Tricker's is a cheesy copycat move by taking Red Wing's Style No. 101, Postman Oxford. I won't say that they are completely wrong though. It has a resemblance of the earlier model of Red Wing that has been quite famous all this years. But i think both still got their own character, and in the shoe game, it's always been about taking something from an old design, and makes it even more perfect, doesn't it? I mean, c'mon, it's hard to come up with an original shoe design nowadays.

British Remains : Creeper Style Footwear

Previously known for their great Graphic Tees, British Remains are now expanding their product range to Footwear. British Remains previous collection, has been receiving good praises from a lot of people. They said that British Remains has a "Real creative spirit", which is hard to find these days.

Recently, Andrew Bunney from British Remains posted the preview of his new upcoming product, the Creeper Style Shoes.

"This sample is the first Creeper style from British Remains for AW11. It's our first time to make shoes, and we're updating the Creeper. This sole is the same height as vintage styles - a little less cartoonish than many today - and the upper is very wearable."

Yuketen : Maine Guide OX Red

Yuki Matsuda, delivers a new release for Yuketen Collection. The classic and refinted piece “by master American craftsman.” The shoe offers a “hand-stitched leather uppers, heavy duty storm welted vibram christy wedge outsole and leather laces.” The leather is a dark ox blood and the shoe is limited. All handmade in the USA a great piece for the new season. The shoe looks like a hybrid between a boat shoe and work boot. I really like the blend of the two styles and it shows how the style of menswear’s transition. The best of blue and white collar styles of shoes in one.
