Cereal Nation

Finally! Cereal Nation is here! I've been seeing Cereal Nation's products for a couple weeks now and i got to tell you, their stuffs are good! Cereal Nation is a Children's line designed by the guys at Studio 1212. Cereal Nation offers ranges of children's clothing ranges from Apparel and shoes, and also Posters and Special edition storybooks. The brand also collaborates with talented local artist who bring their unique quality and colorful variations to the children line.

"Exactly a year ago in 2010, coincidentally during the Children’s National Day, a group of artists, illustrators, photographers, and most importantly mothers and fathers marked the beginning of the marvels and wonders of Cereal Nation.

Embodying the spirit of childlike curiosity, the kids in Cereal Nation live in a world of no boundaries, where math is not part of their life equation and science are only tools to prove their book smart, concealing their mischievous character that may be up
to no good. A nation where the word “can’t” and “don’t” doesn’t exist, only infinite possibilities, adventures, and the richness of luminous imagination."

Poster Series Collaboration with Yuki Agriardi

Cereal Nation will be launched at Brightspot Market which starts tonigh, so make sure you check out Cereal Nation!

Benjamin Edgar, or Whatever

For those of you who don't know, Benjamin Edgar is the man behind the project called Boxed Water is Better. The man hasn't stopped being creative, recently he formed his own clothing label, Benjamin Edgar or Whatever. The brand is awesome, this is exactly what i'm gonna do if i'm starting my own brand, Clean, Simple, Daily wearable and also good, material wise.

Benjamin Edgar said that before, he thought that fabric was a secondary to design, but after reading an Interview with Jean Touitou (of A.P.C.) which said that he started with the fabric then designing, It turned him and the ways of his brand, into the better. Now, Benjamin Edgar or Whatever is serious about fabrication.

"I would never want something to be out there that wasn't 100% up to par quality wise.
Why even do it if you're not going to do it really well."

-Benjamin Edgar

Universal Works

Universal Works is an exciting new label headed by David Keyte, a kindred spirit, with over 20 years experience in the industry. David Keyte spent 10 years at Paul Smith, starting off in retail but moving into product development and production. Since then, he spent 5 years as head at Marharishi, and has worked closely with both Margaret Howell & Albam.

At a certain point, David realised he was "less interested in fashion and more in the function, fit and cut of garments". Wanting to explore this further, he decided the best way was to set up a label of his own. Universal Works has been set up with the aim of producing good honest menswear : well made, well considered, easy to wear and affordable. All garments and accessories are made in small, highly skilled factories, many of which are in the UK. The clothes are designed for purpose and to live way beyond one season of fashion.
